Brexton’s 2015-16 Projects total over $71M in value, the prior (matching) years of 2013-14 totaled $10M.
This has been achieved through a strategic plan, internally and externally. Internally Brexton has recruited the best seasoned professionals in Marketing / Sales, Pre-Construction, Project Management and Financing. Externally, Brexton’s goal was to leverage all of the core expertise’s in industries that would be strong coming out of the recession. This well-crafted plan aligning with Brexton’s core values of (BEST) Blessing others, Excellence in all endeavors, Service first, Teamwork trust and teaching has met and surpassed expectations.
The most recent addition to the Brexton Team is the senior development expert in the Healthcare field, including medical office buildings, senior housing, specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, zoning and entitlements, Melanie Wollenberg, Executive VP of Development. “Melanie brings a depth of relationships it would take us decades to build. We have a tremendous level of experience in the healthcare arena with our existing team, but our human capital is limited by number of hours in the day…we know Melanie will unlock our full potential in healthcare as well as other development opportunities.”, stated Tim Galvin, Brexton’s CEO.
Additionally, Bob Butler has joined Brexton. Bob is the Senior VP of Pre-Construction Services with over 40 years of experience while at Elford, Gilbane and Morrison / Kaundsen. Bob recently was the Project Executive of the new $100M Dublin Methodist Hospital. Bob also had overseeing management duties of over $450M of K-12 School projects in the State of Ohio. Most recently Bob and his Brexton team won the $2.7M competitive-bid for the new Zettler Hardware, Pickerington Ohio project. Bob served as the Board Chairman for the Associated General Contractors of Central Ohio as well as serving on many other community boards and charities.
Another recent addition to Brexton is the VP of Business Development, Mitch Carley. Mitch was a leader of the Real Estate team at EZCORP, Inc. a $600M NASDAQ Traded alternate lending company based in Austin, Texas. Mitch led the psychographic and demographic efforts on real estate for this international company. His expertise in customer understanding and marketing is a result of directing advertising and marketing campaigns for McDonalds, ESPN2, Warner and more for 20 years. Mitch is an active Real Estate Agent and is a past Board Member of the Red Cross of Central Texas / Austin and current TV Emmy Awards Judge.
Locally Brexton is proud to announce the opening of Tri-Village Self Storage (TVSS) in Downtown Columbus. TVSS was created to provide the residents of Columbus a modern, clean, 24/7 access facility with state-of-the-art surveillance and security. TVSS’s six stories are equipped with over 750 fully automated storage units with wine storage and a wine tasting room for its members. Downtown Columbus will be served by several sites, all of which are joint-ventures with The Edwards Company based in Columbus as well.
“We are experiencing tremendous growth in Retail as well as other categories, like the Shoppes at E Broad, that is hovering around 200K SF. 76K SF 2-Story Levin Furniture and numerous Discount Drug Mart Centers throughout Ohio are rounding out this year for us…yet, we have not lowered our excitement and ability to perform smaller projects, like T/I build-out, renovations and ongoing Property Management.” Galvin stated.
Galvin continued with, “The future is very bright for Brexton. We anticipate 20-30% annual growth over the next decade. Some years’ growth will be smaller and some larger, but we believe it will be as sustainable as the markets we serve. We plan to continue on our growth plan, knowing that may mean expanding geographically to serve clients in other markets.” Brexton is a family-owned business and they are anticipating on turning the management of Brexton over to the next generation of owners in 2025.
